Who We Are
The Beckett Life Center (BLC) is a community center located in the heart of North Philadelphia at 1410 N. 16th Street. Through the collaborative effort of Union Housing Development Corporation (UHDC), Global Synergies and Beckett Gardens II, the Beckett Life Center was created to support the North Philadelphian community through innovative programs and initiatives.
Our Purpose
The BLC was created out of a need for a long-term solution to the complex socio-economic problems that the community of North Philadelphia faces. Our mission is to become a space where dedicated community advocates can help disadvantaged children and their families to build personal and professional skills to overcome barriers to success. It is our hope that through our efforts, we can enhance the quality of life for anyone who enters our doors.
